SEA-EU-NET II extended for implementation of final activities
Published on
Initially the SEA-EU-NET II project should have ended after September 2016. After successful negotiations with the policy-officers in charge on the side of the funding body (the European Commission), the project was now awarded an extension of its activities until the end of April 2017.
There are three tasks the project consortium will now focus on for the period of its extension: The monitoring and support of those smaller projects, which were funded within the pilot joint funding scheme of SEA-EU-NET II (collaborative projects between EU and ASEAN researchers in the areas of environment, food/agriculture and health – this marks the first pooling of resources of EU and Southeast Asian countries to fund joint research projects), the continuation of the participation monitoring of ASEAN and EU researchers involved in H2020 funded projects and the preparation for the 4th and final STI Days to be held in spring 2017 in the Netherlands (tbc).
